Flying from JFK Airport soon or planning to pick up or drop off loved ones? We have accumulated all the necessary information on both international and John F. Kennedy domestic airport arrivals & departures, as well as commonly asked questions about transit, to make your or your loved one’s travel plans go as seamlessly as possible.
If you have a long-haul flight, the airport recommends that you arrive 3 hours before departure. In the case of a regional or medium-haul flight, it is recommended to plan an hour and a half in advance.
Be careful, if you take the car, be aware that work is underway for Metro line 14 and traffic may be disrupted. Allow an extra half hour in advance so as not to run any risks. Likewise, allow half an hour in advance for your parking, as parking at JFK can also take time if you do not park in a premium car park directly in contact with the terminals.
Depending on your destination, or your airline, you are more likely to depart or arrive at one terminal or another. However, we still recommend that you check your ticket carefully and follow the progress of flights.
Indeed, due to the work, some changes of terminals or airport to JFK are possible. The affected airlines are: Air Algérie, Air Canada, Air Malta, Air Serbia, Air Tahiti Nui, British Airways, Croatia, CSA, Easyjet, Eva Air, Norwegian, Pegasus Airlines, TUI Fly, Tunisair.

Do you want to park as close as possible to your terminal without spending too much? Think about valet parking in JFK! All you have to do is return your vehicle directly in front of the terminal and a driver will park it for you. Ideal for saving time.
ParkFellows, in accordance with JFK Airport’s official website's tips, recommends being at the airport 3 hours before an international flight. If you are looking for car parking at JFK Airport whilst travelling, we recommend arriving at the car park 30 minutes before you need to be at the check-in desks, particularly for those parking at a car park with a shuttle service to take you to and from the airport. If you plan to park with an on-site, official JFK Airport car parking, you will need less than 10 minutes to get from the car park to the check-in desks if the car park is within walking distance.
